Show Rules and Regulations:

1.Participants must submit completed form and full payment on or before February 15, 2010.
2.IloiloFH Officers, judges are not allowed to join the fish competition.
3.Entry forms are to be submitted to iloilofh411@yahoo.com. Payment must be made within 48 hours after submitting the entry form otherwise the entry form will not be processed. Please make deposit to BPI. (Acct. Name: HELEN GRACE S VILLARUZ, Acct. Number: 00522-5-00526-7).
4.The organizer reserves the right to cancel, re-categorize any category, in the event of insufficient entries. In such cases, participants will be notified accordingly.
5.The “Open” class is strictly for fish, which do not belong to the other classes within that category.
6.All participants must wear their Fish Show Identification Card at all times during the show. Failure to wear the ID may result to participant not to be allowed to enter during the competition, servicing tanks, ingress and egress.
7.For Flowerhorn, tanks are provided with blue background including the sides.
8.Participants must provide their own OHF, pink light and heater.
9.Competition fish must be brought to the venue on February 24, 2010 between 5 am to 9 am. Ingress ends at 10 am. Participants must register their fish to the committee in-charge AS SOON AS ORGANIZER HAS FINISHED SETTING UP THE TANKS. Assignment of tank number is on a First-Come-First-Serve basis. Once the fish is accepted and displayed at the venue, participants are not allowed to remove any fish from the tanks unless prior approval has been obtained from the organizer.
10.Fish must be measured either before or after the fish has been placed in the tank.
11.The organizer shall not be held responsible for the loss or mortality of fish or breakage of any equipment due to natural causes or by any unforeseen circumstances.
12.Participants are not allowed to display business cards, stickers, or any sign that will show ownership without the approval of the organizer. The participants shall be automatically disqualified. Fishes tanks and equipment may only be removed at 5am to 9am on March 1, 2010. Penalty for breaching this rule will mean disqualification from the tournament and returning of prizes won.
13.Servicing of aquarium and feeding shall be from 6 am to 9 am only. Participants are strictly not allowed to service or feed their fishes during mall hours without the approval of the organizers.
14.Participants are responsible for their own clutter and may be charged a custodian fee, if necessary.
15.Entry fees are inclusive of the aquarium tank and are non-refundable. All registered competition fish cannot be replaced. Submitted registration forms are non-transferable. Tank size for all categories will be 36x18x18 ( L x W x H )
16.All participants are to collect their fish from the tanks on March 1, 2010 between 5am to 9am. Competition fish, which are not collected after the specified date and time, shall become the property of the organizer.
17.In the event that the competition is postponed, shortened or extended due to any cause whatsoever beyond the control of the organizer, the organizer shall not be held responsible for any loss sustained by the participant, directly, or indirectly, attributed to the elements of nature, force majeure or orders and directives imposed by government authority.
18.Judging will take place on February 27, 2010 from 3 pm to 8 pm. No participants are allowed in the fish competition area during judging.
19.The decision of the panel of judges is final and no disputes will be entertained. The fish will be disqualified immediately if any of the following is observed by the organizers and judges: deformed body, damaged fins, injured body, unhealthy looking fish, entry fish in the wrong class, colored medication or dyes, and late entries.

Rules:

All participants shall abide by the Rules and Regulations stated herein. Entries found violating any of the Rules and Regulations may be disqualified.

1. The organizers shall be the sole authority for the interpretation of the Rules and Regulations.

2. The competition is open to all betta hobbyists.

3. There are 35 classes in the 2nd ABA International Show (Please refer to the our Entry Form).

4. Each entry shall consist of 1 Betta splendens . A non-refundable entry fee of 150 pesos shall be charged for each entry. All entry forms shall be accompanied by full cheque or cash payment.

5. Each Betta splendens entry must be at least 3.5cm in body length, measured from the tip of the mouth to the end of the caudal peduncle (i.e. not including the caudal fin). Entries below the minimum size shall be at the discretion of the judges to disqualify.

6. Due to the limited number of tanks and in the case of overwhelming entries, the organizers reserve the right to limit a participant to a maximum of 1 entry per class. This is to encourage maximum participation from all hobbyists and breeders. If the entries are still more than the number of tanks available, then entries shall be selected on a first-come-first-served basis. Unsuccessful applicants shall be informed at least 3 days prior to the competition date and fees will be refunded.

7. The organizers reserve the right to re-classify entries in the event of wrong entry for any class / category. However, after benching in, fish found in the wrong class / category may be disqualified at the discretion of the judges and organizers.


8. Each entry will be provided with a competition tank filled with water that has been aged for at least 24 hours. Participants are, however, allowed to bring their own water to fill the competition tank(s) assigned.

9. Colored medications and water conditioners are not allowed. If medications or water conditioners are used, they must be colorless . The judges and organizers reserve the right to dilute the colored water of any tank if it is deemed to be too dark.

10. The organizers will exercise reasonable efforts to look after all entries throughout the duration of the competition. However, the organizers shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, illness or mortality of entries.

11. Fishes shall not be fed during the competition period except at times specified by the organizers.

12. Once the entries are accepted and displayed at the competition site, participants will not be allowed to remove any entries from the tanks, unless prior approval has been obtained from the organizers.

13. The closing date for all entries shall be on February 15, 2010.

14. All entries shall be benched-in at the competition venue on February 24, 2010.

15. Judging shall take place on February 26, 2010 or whenever the judges have finished with the judging.

16. A panel of invited IBC Certified Judges shall judge the competition. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding and no further correspondence will be entertained.

17. In the event of disputes, the organizers shall be the sole authority for the interpretation of the Rules & Regulations. No arguments shall be entertained.

18. After the judging is completed and the results posted, any mistakes found should be made known to the organizers immediately. Results are not final and official until posted by the organizers.

19. Participants shall collect their fish from the competition venue on February 28 after closing of the mall. The organizers reserve the right to dispose of unclaimed fish in any fashion it sees fit.

20. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first prize-winners for each class, Division A, B, C and D Champions, and the Grand Champion. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 winners in each class. The Grand Champion Betta shall be selected from the Champions of Divisions A, B and C and D.

21. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries if any of the following is observed: deformed or unhealthy looking fish.

22. Judging criteria shall be the official Standards of the International Betta Congress (IBC) and judging shall be by IBC Certified Judges.

23. Judging shall be based on the condition and performance of the fish at the time of judging.

24. Sales of competition fish will be handled by the organizers and should be done through giving out contacts only since the mall only gave permission for a show or exhibit.

25. No stickers, labels or other forms of identification (other than those applied by the organizers) will be allowed on the competition tanks or racks.

26. Entries submitted via electronic means do not require a signature. However, such entries constitute a binding contract and the submitter is obligated to pay the appropriate entry fees within 7 days of submitting the entry form. Failure to pay by the stipulated time limit will result in disqualification of the entire entry submission. No changes in the entry form are allowed once submitted and received by the organizers.
